Results

With this model, my son understands his environment better and better. He's able to express and understand his emotions. I even got my first "I love you" this year. With the SACCADE™ model, we get results we never thought we'd see.

A thousand times richer

There was a before and after SACCADE™ in Valmond's life, in mine, and for his teachers and relatives. Since taking the workshops to learn the SACCADE Conceptual Language™, I feel like I can get into Valmond's head and understand what he sees in order to be able to better accompany him and, above all, communicate with him. That's why my dream would be that everyone directly or indirectly connected to people with autism might have the opportunity to access this communication tool that makes our lives not only more pleasant, but also a thousand times richer.

Concrete exercises

For me, having Asperger's too often means drowning in my emotions. I followed several traditional therapies, but each missed the problem. My diagnosis was key. Now, with Catherine, I'm learning to name my emotions, measure their intensity, compare them, and predict what I'll do if a similar situation occurs again. The concrete exercises are not only useful, they're exciting. I'm starting to become aware of myself.

The key

For our family, SACCADE™ was the key that allowed us to open the door to the world of autism, to understand it, and thus better intervene in our son's world. He's benefited from SACCADE™ continuously since the age of two-and-a-half. With the SACCADE™ method, with their tools, and their team, we feel very well surrounded and equipped to guide our son to his maximum potential.

Classifying information

If I didn't have SACCADE™, I could probably still make connections, but it would be harder. The SACCADE™ experience helps me classify information well.

A complete answer

Our entire team finally has the answers to our various questions concerning how people with autism function, the language to intervene, and we could no longer work otherwise. The progress we've observed at whatever level of achievement of the children we work with (understanding their environment, language, communication, school, exchanges, anxiety…) confirms my choice to generalize the use of the SACCADE™ model across all our services.

Putting all the tools into practice

The help this team provides really respects the particular needs of autistic people and their internal functioning. In my own case, I especially need to be supported when I'm experiencing discomfort. I have been working with the SACCADE™ team for a few years now. A psychologist from SACCADE™ helps me find strategies to manage my stress and anxiety.

Understanding

Understanding certain ways of reasoning and reacting reassures us. This understanding modulates our own reactions, and we respond in a new way to the needs of our children. Understanding helps us to live, help, and develop better!
