Description

This workshop is unique and it’s an essential basis for understanding autism (those with a diagnosis of ASD) as well as the basis of the SACCADE™ intervention model. The workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to learn about the Structure of Autistic Thought.

The content of this workshop has been adapted to suit both professionals, regardless of their level of knowledge of autism, as well as autistic people. In this workshop, you’ll develop a whole new understanding of autism, complemented by concrete examples and peppered with a few anecdotes from the personal life of Brigitte Harrisson, an autistic individual and the co-founder of SACCADE™.

This workshop allows you to:

• Understand what autism is.
• Make the link between what can be observed from an outside perspective (behaviors, mannerisms) and what an autistic individual may be experiencing internally.
• Explain the internal coherence of the autistic thought structure.
• Discover the still unknown (misunderstood) needs of autistic people.
• “Read” the autistic person; that is, learn to recognize what the autistic person is trying to express through their behaviors.
• Gain an overall understanding of how to accompany an autistic individual in their development.
• Better respect and support the autistic condition.
